Hi, I'm Bernie.
I'm a mental health educator and public health practitioner working to change our cultures and systems of work to enable happy and healthy lives.

I began my career in human centered design working to advance resilience and well-being. From shadowing nurses at Dignity Health, to interviewing teachers in South Carolina, to touring college campuses in Ohio, to facilitating ideation sessions with high school students in the San Francisco Bay Area, I worked directly alongside populations to co-create tangible and scalable solutions to support well-being.

As a founding team member, I shaped the national movement for workforce mental health. I consulted world-class employers like Hyatt, PGIM, and OLLY; led national polls now cited by the CDC; grew a 600+ member community of ERG leads; wrote for publications like Harvard Business Review and Forbes; and stewarded high-visibility partnerships with organizations like Pure Leaf, iStock, and Qualtrics to advance workforce well-being.
