Lifelong advocacy for mental health.

Hi, I'm Bernie.

I am a consultant and subject matter expert on the topic of mental health, work, and public health.

I currently serve as the Knowledge Lead & Principal at Mind Share Partners—a nonprofit focused on workplace mental health.

I am widely published author on workplace mental health having written for Forbes, Harvard Business Review, HR Dive, and more.

My Philosophy

Mental health is more than self-care, feel-good emotions, the latest meditation app—even therapy. Mental health is our livelihoods; the ways in which we come to understand and navigate the world around us; and a barometer for the conditions within which we live our lives.

In my work, I take a social- and systems-level approach, leveraging perspectives from sociology, public health, social psychology, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.

My deepest passions lie in dismantling the man-made social, cultural, and economic forces that produce human suffering.

"The safe space for vulnerability was so important during this session and it felt like it was a place where people were accepting of talking about mental health rather than feeling shameful."
