Lifelong advocacy for mental health.

Hi! I'm Bernie.

I am a public health professional and workforce mental health consultant, advocate, and subject matter expert.

I am a founding member of Mind Share Partners — a nonprofit at the forefront of the workforce mental health movement and currently serve as their Movement Building and Research Lead.

My work has published in and cited by the CDC, Economist, Harvard Business Review, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and more.

My Philosophy

Mental health is more than self-care, inspirational platitudes, the latest meditation app, or even therapy. Mental health represents our livelihoods, the ways in which we come to understand and navigate the world around us, and a barometer for the conditions within which we live our lives.

I take a social- and systems-level approach leveraging perspectives across public health, sociology, and diversity, equity, and inclusion to understand how our systems of work help or hinder well-being. My deepest passions lie in dismantling the man-made forces that create human suffering.
